went to the national stadium for the syf opening ceremony on the 1st of July, which is the band's grandfinals. (: i'm so glad that we seniors had tickets. WEST ENTRANCE. the grandstand! (: took some pictures. though tk won and deyi got the best drum major award, i think Hui Ping actually did a very good job. better than the other dms, i should say. she threw high and caught all her throws. and lastly, i appreciated Bowenians for their support. u'll see what i mean later. (:

i went back to Bowen and visit the band the week before SYF. ahaha. took percussion praciting!

SYF 2006:

the combine choir. as usual...

southand west... combine choir are the east people.u can't really see this, but those people in the middle are acutally controlling flying toy planes that are tied to a string while the choir sang "I Believe I can Fly." heh. (:

The marching contigents. haha. i think they're super lousy excpet those at the front row. no cooradination, dressing out (even when time was given for them to check their dressing!). oh wells... my school participated. but then... so embarassing man... the're at the top left carrying the red flags though.

the SYF logo. can't really see the curl patterns on the side though. plus the dry ice and stuff.
this is the band from Malaysia. their American style of marching make their movements sleek and nice. more or less like what u see in Drumline.

The static percussion of the band from Thailand. the Mallet players are scary! the strokes and speed were amazing.

Bowen's Up!

i'm so proud of Hui Ping alright! she's much better than the other female dms in bowen's history. threw high and caught all her throws. (: alot of people were impressed. (: way to go girl!

nah, we lost. the band played their songs again thanking the school for supporting. and what i'm glad was... they stood a full 8 mins together while the band played their full formation scores like what u saw in the photo where the grey uniforms were. everyone looked sad, but i like the unity of our school compared to the other schools which students stood dispersely. don't cry Bowen band! work harder another the next 2 years!

I find it hard to convey to you guys, so yea, I'll just let the bible speak.(:
