just came back from learning how to organise an evangelistic camp and from choir practice. i talked to Jia Xin on MSN and asked if she wants to go to the gospel rally by Stephen Tong. she doesn't seem free this whole of dec and she's got some issues that she's worrying about. it's good that she opened herself to me and tell her how she feels. she was afraid of us christians asking her to believe in God and sort of "force" her or something, and she was sort of petrified because Steph's mom's did it to us too though it's a different religion. something that i find it extraodinary too, because i thought only christians spread their faith. ok. i told Jia Xin that it's up to her to believe on whether to believe or not, and if she doesn't want to, maybe's it's not the Lord's plan that she's going to be one of us, or maybe it's not His time yet. thank God that's she's willing to expose herself to the Lord and come to know Him. i told her that and she said "thanks for saying that!". wow. i didn't expect something like that from her or anyone.

this incident made me recall on a verse from Philippians 1: 15-18,
"It is true that some preach Christ out of of envy and rivalry, but others out of goodwill. The latter do so in love, knowing that I am put here for the defense of the gospel. The former preach Christ out of selfish ambition, not sincerely, supposing that they can stir up trouble for me while I am in chains. But what does it matter? The important thing is that in every way, whether from false motives or true, Christ is preached. And because of this I rejoice."

this time, i did so with love and not from false motives like i did it to Stephenie because of some reasons. but even so, i rejoice too, because at least the gospel is being spread.

oh no... i don't know if i'd used it correctly. if i'm wrong, someone better correct me! either Marcus or someone who knows. :P
